Maskr is designed as a privacy-first photo editing app. The app focuses on local, on-device masking workflows.

What Maskr does

Maskr detects faces in photos and lets you anonymize them before sharing or saving the edited result.

What Maskr does not do

  • Maskr does not perform face recognition.
  • Maskr does not identify specific people.
  • Maskr does not require an account to edit photos.

Media processing

Photo processing is designed to happen on-device. Your media stays on your device unless you explicitly choose to export or share the edited output yourself.

Photos access

Maskr requests access to your photo library so you can import photos and save edited results back to Photos.

Project storage

Maskr keeps an editable in-app project copy so you can reopen your work, adjust masked faces, and export again later.
